We started Nyad with a simple ambition: To help humanity grow while in harmony with the environment.

Ask any open water swimmer and they will be able to tell you about how wastewater pollution is a huge problem that often goes unnoticed by much of the population. Every day, industries around the world contribute to this issue, sometimes out of neglect but mostly because the tools available to manage wastewater are outdated and inefficient. Particularly with regard to harnessing the power of nature in the form of microbes.

We believe there is an opportunity to change that. By leveraging computer vision and machine learning, we are going to automate the complex process of microbial management, making it faster, smarter, and more effective.

Nyad isn’t just about creating cleaner effluent water. It’s about building an economically viable solution that allows industry to grow while reducing their environmental footprint. By making this technology accessible and cost-effective, we’re ensuring that businesses don’t have to choose between profitability and sustainability. They can have both.

We’ve spent the last year immersing ourselves in the water industry, learning firsthand where the pain points are and how they can be addressed with the right technology.

Virginia’s last CleanTech startup successfully piloted with a major chemical manufacturer in India and secured recognition from prestigious programs like Imagine H2O and Techstars.

Our backgrounds have uniquely prepared us for this challenge. We built a large-scale testing company together remotely during the pandemic, as well as launching Big 4 data intensive corporate ventures. We’ve always been drawn to solving tough problems with technology.
